FoodBank
At St. John’s, we are proud of our strong tradition of caring for one another. One way we do this is through our Food Bank initiative, where families volunteer to provide meals for others in our school community during times of need—whether it’s supporting someone through illness or offering comfort during a time of loss.
We’re currently inviting families who are willing to donate a meal—either homemade or store-bought to support this important initiative. These meals make a real difference to those receiving them. If you are able to make a donation please contact our Pastoral care Leader Jasmine - jkoch@sjdennington.catholic.edu.au
Father's Day Breakfast
Our annual Father's Day breakfast is being held on Friday 5th September in the Stadium from 7.30am - 8.30am.
Breakfast will consist of egg and bacon rolls (and a coffee for the Dads/special person) Please click on the link below to indicate if you are able to attend. For catering purposes, please rsvp by Thursday 28th August.
We hope you are able to come along!
Year 3-6 Aboriginal Inspired Art on Display
We are excited to share that student from Years 3 to 6 have their stunning artwork on display in the Foundation corridor!
As part of their Visual Arts unit on Aboriginal-inspired art, students explored traditional and contemporary Indigenous art styles. Each student had the opportunity to design their own canvas, drawing inspiration from Aboriginal symbols, patterns, and storytelling techniques.
They were also given the freedom to choose their own medium to bring their designs to life—selecting from paint, paint pens, or Sharpie textas. The result is a vibrant and meaningful collection of artworks that reflect each student’s creativity and personal interpretation of the unit.
We encourage all families to take a moment before or after school to visit the display and celebrate the hard work and artistic talents of our students.
